About Me

Hi! I'm María, the hands, heart, and soul behind Mariquilla Sandía, a small handmade jewelry studio born in my living room and grown with love.

What started as a side project soon became a full-time dream. I used to pack orders between my office hours, clearing my living room table every night. One day, I made the leap: I left my city job, moved closer to nature, and decided to dedicate my life to creating handmade clay jewelry filled with personality and color.

A Personal Approach to Handmade Jewelry

Every piece is handmade by me, from mixing custom clay colors to shaping, baking, and painting details by hand. I work with lightweight, hypoallergenic clay and gold-plated or sterling silver findings, perfect for sensitive ears.

My most loved creations are the charm hoop earrings with interchangeable designs, the personalized initial necklaces painted in gold, and a wide range of seasonal earrings and minimalist studs. Each piece is a little burst of joy, colorful, creative, and made to feel special.

More Than Jewelry

Along this journey, I’ve become more than a jewelry maker. I've taught myself photography, web design, content creation, and everything needed to run my own shop. I believe in constant learning, creativity, and building something honest and meaningful.

Behind the Scenes 🎥

In my studio near the Spanish countryside, I design, sculpt, paint, and package each order myself. I love sharing the behind-the-scenes of my process and connecting with others who value handmade things.
